Here & Now.

Here and Now. That’s where I am.

This thought has been resting on my heart for a few weeks now. I’ve reached a point where things have started to fall into place. For months and even the entire four years I was in college the constant worry and anticipation of what would happen next was always on my mind.

Finally I’ve reached the “next” that I was worried about for so long. Yet still, I anticipate my 5 year plan, 10 year plan and even the rest of my life. I’m constantly pushing for the next greatest thing in hopes my life will be fulfilled the way I imagine.

This is all good, because I believe we should have hopes and dreams for the future. But, things get messy when we focus so much on the “next” that we completely miss the here and now and God’s plan for us in the moment.

Be faithful. Here and Now.

While this season of my life is likely a pit-stop for what’s next, the bottom line is that God has placed me right here, right now and for his perfect plan. So here is my prayer:

God, take me and use me right here and right now. Let my anticipation for the future and even thoughts of my past fade away. Open my eyes so I might see this season the way you do. Let me be faithful to your goodness and your plan in this moment.

Regardless of where we want to be, we are right here. Don’t miss all that God is calling you to be.

“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad.” Psalm 118:24

    Hey Danielle!

I’m loving your blog (followed!) but I would also like to invite you to submit a short piece to my own. I think your perspective and style of writing would be a perfect piece for my project.

It’d also be a great way to get your blog/writing out there.

Please feel free to email me (jennifer@youngandtwenty) with more questions, or take a look at the ‘BEING Young & Twenty’ page on my blog.

    I hope I’ll hear from you 🙂
